My other site.
So for the past few weeks I have been working on all of the backend code, plugins, hacks, and other nessesities for my site. Having it post to LJ and my site at the same time. Grabbing all of my previous LJ posts and making the show up on my site now. Messing with the look. (I still have tons of work to do on the look.) But now I think I am far enough along for other people to see my site.
JohnTracy.com is now up and ready for people to see. The only thing I have up there (here, depending on where you are reading this) now is my blog, but one day I will get around to having my galleries and other items online as well. Who knows when this will take place.
Don’t get me wrong, I will still be making posts to LiveJournal, and still reading livejournal, but I have always wanted a way that I could get more from a blog without losing LJ. I have found that way, and soon you will start to see that some posts will not make it to LJ (that is if you took the time to go to my site). I have done this for a good reason. Nobody cares what I have to say about technology, new codes and scripts, and so on and so forth on LJ, so those posts will start to only appear on johntracy.com. Eventually I will have categories seperating them, so if you don’t want to read about me going on and on about how great Auburn is because you happen to be a bama fan, then you can simply filter it out.
Also, all of my posts to LJ will now have a permalink associated with it. This permalink goes to the permanent page of that particular post on my page. I don’t put it there so you can comment, you can if you would like, but so if you want to go back to that some year in the future.
This will be the end of my geek rant. You can continue enjoying the rest of your friends page.
