le weekend avec moi
Okay, so I know I said I would do a post soon, and I haven’t really felt like it lately, but here goes… Delirium has set in. My mind is not operating at full capacity. My bones feel weak. Okay, so to be completely honest. I have been up for about 27 hours now. I don’t know why. I only now realize it was a bad idea, but hey, at least I’m not grumpy, right?
“John, tell me about your weekend.” Okay, sure, well, Friday night was no biggie. Just worked that night, and didn’t really do anything else. Saturday, however, is a different story. Tons of stuff happened on that day. For starters, I went on a day hike with Erika in Chewacla State Park in Auburn. I love that little place. Rocks to climb, creeks to cross, puddles of nasty stagnant water to nearly fall in. I think I want to go up there one day to just have lunch. You know, take a small cooler with me, climb up to the top of one of the big boulders, and just have a little picnic above the creek. A nice little perch above everything else out there. Fun.
So anyhow, now that you have caught me daydreaming about doing cool crazy stuff like that, I must complete the rest of my incredibly interesting weekend for you to hear and tell all of the kids. You know, cool shit. But to continue… After the whole affair with hiking, We took a deserving trip to the local quiznos. Some hate the place, some love the place. I am of the latter group. I went up to order the most awesome sandwich any place could ever have (the black angus steak sub) and would you believe they ran out of quiznos world famous black angus steak? I was appalled. So I settled for the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I still got my damn quiznos. I am happy.
Finished the delicious treat at the college street quiznos and headed back to Montgomery. Returned back to the Castle for some much deserved rest and relaxation. Hung out there for a little while, and the decision was made. We were on our way to the Montgomery Street Café. That place is sweet. Jeremy is awesome. I only wish I had the balls he does to go out on a limb and start his own business. The Caramel Mocha wasn’t too bad either, in fact, it was better than “wasn’t too bad” it was excellent. Erika and Jeremy were talking about old times when their old teacher they had together came walking into the fine establishment that he has there on Montgomery Street. I thought they could keep talking about the “good ole times” forever. But then again, they hadn’t known each other forever, so that would be quite the impossibility now wouldn’t it?
I am going to end my post about the weekend here, but so far I have really only covered Saturday. I know. I pack a lot into my weekends. I will pick up where I left off later.
