It has become horribly evident to me that work has progressivly become much more intense over the past couple months. I know the same has been happening with Erika. Wednesday, September 15, I am going to ask for an increase in my raise. I am scheduled for one on that day anyhow, but I might as well ask for a larger one then while we are talking money anyhow. I just feel that if I were in the same position at another company I would be getting paid twice as much. In fact, I know I would be getting twice as much. That is why I have sent my application in for the state. Who knows what will happen with that, but at least I have one good thing going my way… I have nothing to lose.
In other news, I have found myself listening to a lot of music that I used to listen to back in high school. Not the crappy stuff either. As of late I have been surrounding my driving experiences with bands like Oasis, Counting Crows, The Wallflowers, Blues Traveler, early Incubus stuff, and even a little Green Day. Don’t worry on the last one, it was the album Dookie only. But it has taken me back to that place in my life where nothing mattered. Driving around with no particular destination in mind. Roll all the windows down, hang your left arm out the window to feel the breeze as you push the gas a little harder around the corners, and crank up the music and lose yourself.
Funny those days were. Crazy funny I tell ya!
