SEC West belongs to Auburn.

What do you have to say about that Ole Miss fans? Auburn now has the SEC West Division Title.
I will have to admit, however, that the entire first half of the game was very very hard for me to watch. It was constantly a game of defence. One team, then the other. Ole Miss is in the red zone but denied, same with Auburn. Luckily for Auburn we did score before the half was over. Now we have a week off and then it is on to Georgia. Georgia, even though they lost to Tennessee is going to be a tough game for us. We will see what happens in two weeks.

One Fingered Victory Salute

While doing a little blog surfing (okay, really it was an RSS feed from the Scripting News) I ran into Adam Curry’s Weblog. Nice. A video, unedited of “W” giving the one fingered victory salute. Click here for it, this is a quicktime file.

Tavern Fest, Auburn Football, and Halloween

Tavern Fest turned out to be great event. I had a lot of fun, listening to the bands, drinking all the beer I could drink. It was a good night. I want the truck. A refrigerated beer truck with 3 taps right on the side of the truck. A beautiful, beautiful invention IMHO. After serving beer for about 2 hours, and having a taste of every beer being offered at the place that evening, I kicked back and listened to some music. Lovely evening indeed.

Auburn plays Ole Miss tonight at 6:45 on ESPN. If they win this game they will received the SEC West division title. Let’s make it 9 in a row. I know Bret is coming over for the game. Kinda sucks that Alabama isn’t playing today, but then again, I guess I will be in the same situation next week when Alabama has a game and Auburn doesn’t. Its okay, the guys need a break.

Halloween. 1048 anyone? Although I gave bret the idea, I was thinking about being Katamari Damacy. If you haven’t heard of this video game, don’t feel alone, most haven’t. I think this is probably one of the best games to come out in quite some time. Very Unique. Anyhow, it is based on a ball or something to that effect that rolls around things and it picks them up. (Rather, sticks to it) As it collects more and more items, the ball becomes bigger. So big to where you can pick up buildings and homes. Nice. Screen Shot to the left.

Red Sox fans knew it had to happen… 1

Open-Source Intelligence Agency 1

The official report of the 9/11 Commission includes a pitch for a new “open-source intelligence agency,” which would focus on developing government intelligence information from unrestricted, non-secret sources. “The intelligence world lives and breathes by secrecy, perhaps more so than is necessary,” observes Charles Cameron. “In a world that’s shifting in a thousand ways from the hierarchical to the distributed, from the top-down to the bottom-up, and - gasp - from the authoritative to the democratic, a more transparent approach to intelligence may be the wave of the future, and open-source intelligence may be the key to that effort.”

Entire weekend in four paragraphs

In order to catch up on the last few days, I will scramble a lot of senseless information together, which, I will then have to correct at a later date.
Had my test with the state Saturday. I walked into the testing center (aka lee high school lunch room) and notice there were only 400 other people there taking the exact same test for the exact same position. The test was scheduled for 3 hours, it started at 8:30, I was home by 9:45. Cake walk of a test. I can’t see how anybody was to do poorly on the exam, but I am hoping that the 400 other people were all idiots that can not read, divide or multiply.
Watched the Alabama game after that, followed by the Auburn game and Tennessee games, and then the LSU game that evening.
I was called into work on Sunday at 1:00pm. Didn’t get off that night. (end of sentence) I got off the following day at 12:30am. Hoping the taxes don’t take too much of that overtime away.

War Damn Eagle 4

It’s 2:20 in the morning and somebody is shotting guns outside. I don’t know what the hell is up with that, but I don’t really like it all that much.

Watch the Auburn Game, and all I have to say is War Damn Eagle! Not only did Tennesse lose to Auburn, they did it while they were home… Something they haven’t done since 1983. WAR DAMN EAGLE!

Emily and I met Rob at Bud’s. Stayed there for a few drinks and saw Angela, yes the Angela that you may be thinking of. After a few more minutes, we headed off to Pure Country Saloon. Jesus F’ing Christ that place is redneck, at least I should have known it from the name. But no, I was too drunk from the games to be able to think straight. end….

Went to the 8 and Bud’s last night with Em, Colette, Cat, rest of the gang. Had a great time hanging out with them even though I felt a little out of place with half of the people there coming from some ball type event. I don’t know, I have always felt a little out of place in formal situations, especialy when they are social events as well. With the group I was hanging out with I felt cool, but for some reason I always get that “you’re not good enough” vibe from most of those people. The type of vibe that let’s me know they think they are cut from a better cloth or have social refinement oozing from the very core of their socially refined self. I am bitching. I will try to quit.

To get off the subject of social refinement and on to less bitchy topic, I have, as Emily has put it, become the community husband. With one weekend sans Erika I have become the goto guy for guy things. You know, fixing stuff, preferably large electric appliances and computers. There might be an oil change here or there, I don’t know what lays ahead of me.

Here I am, at work, right now it is just before 8:00 which means I have been here for an hour and a half. I am very sleepy. Having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Need to finish these reports. Mush finish reports. Then I may take a small nap. Then I may go home. Yes, make this a priority. Finish the Reports. You will regret not finishing the reports later. Don’t way you won’t, because I will tell you right now, YOU WILL.
