Going back home

We are leaving from Bardstown and heading back home after a very productive Thanksgiving weekend. This is unfortunate for a few reasons, mostly I don’t get to neglect in what I am eating and be stuffed to the gill everyday. I am not used to eating so much. I suppose it will be much better when I get home and try to lose the 50 lbs. I gained.

The drive today will be horrible. I am not saying that because of the length of the drive, yet the condition of the drive. Let me just show you a small little picture I had dropped in my lap today.
Rain all day
This is what we will be driving through. See the green at the top of Kentucky where we are? Okay, now trace that down to the center of Alabama. You got it. RAIN! This map is for the whole day, not just an hour or so. Help us now.

Post Turkey Day Musings 1

Thanksgiving was yesterday and it was a great day. I got to stay in all day. Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green beans, brocolli caserole, some potato stuff, um… pretzel salad, cookies, 7 layer cookies, yams, sweet potatoes with marshmellows, diabetic coma, country ham, honey baked ham, rolls, hash brown caserol, there was other stuff Im sure.

After I woke up with my blood sugar spiking into the thousands I had some coffee and breakfast the next day. After laying around the house for a few hours, it was decided that we partake in the obligitory traffic fighting, and rude holiday awakening that is black friday.

The new reports were abuzz with this phenomenon. People racing into department stores as if they were rat mazes with pieces of cheese at the end. The winner of course gets not a piece of cheese, however; they are rewarded with a $400 laptop that will break at the first sight of christmas day. Only to be returned in haste on January 2nd. A lesser known, but still important retail day called Red New Years. They day when all retail outlets go from the black right back into the red on their new accounting period because all the crap they sold on black friday is a piece of shit.

Arrived

I have arrived safely in Bardstown KY. Nasty travel through Nashville TN. Added about an hour to the trip. But I’m here now, and ready to get to sleep and eat turkey tomorrow.

Goodnight.

Fix your COMPLETELY bricked iPod

This guide is a great walkthrough to fix a bricked iPod. By bricked, I mean beyond repairing with the windows iPod restore tool. Very easy to follow and a lifesaver. It says its for the mini, but it can be used to fix any type of iPod.

Auburn v Georgia

So, this year’s schedule is out for TV times for the remainder of the regular season. This Saturday, the oldest rivalry in the south plays at 6:30pm on ESPN. This is going to be a tough one for the tigers, and it will be no walk in the park for the bulldogs either.

The Iron Bowl will be played on CBS at 2:30pm. I was hoping for a night game again this year but I am quite alright with it being played on CBS because that gives interesting statistics. This is the first time Auburn has played on CBS this year, but Auburn has won the last 5 times they were shown on the station. The tailgate party will still be in full swing at the beginning of the game. I hope to see all of you at the Carriage House on the 19th. And of course, eveyone is welcome to continue the party after the game. Come Prepared Again!

Auburn Football Schedule
Auburn @ Georgia - 6:30 CT - ESPN
Alabama @ Auburn - 2:30 CT - CBS

Kenny Irons Run 1

Kenny Irons Run

Yet another non-televised game from Auburn this season. Auburn won on the road in Lexington, KY against Kentucky. Listening to it again from my cozy little corner of my office while I worked. The game was fun, at least from what I heard.
Alabama also on the road today won against Mississippi State. First half was a bit of a surprise. Only 3 points.
I never thought I would say this, but Vandy had the most exciting game of the evening with an overtime loss to Florida. No, I didn’t mistype that.

iPod Battery 1

I bought a new battery for my iPod. It was only giving me a playback time of about 60 ro 70 minutes on a charge. Nowhere near the advertised 12-hours I was receiving when I first got it. I got the battery in a couple of days ago and replaced the old one with it. Now I am getting more time, an additional 10 or 15 minutes. Bastards. I talked to the company that sold me the battery and they said they are going to work with me to get another one. If it doesn’t work. I will blast them out. Bastards.

I am nearly sure that I have used the sentence “Bastards.” one too many times in this post. I shall quite this immediately. Bastards.

Working on blog

Still working on my blog. I had a horrible incident occur that I mentioned before. SQL database was wiped out. I have a backup of the SQL information, I just don’t have the time to go through and re-add all of those posts at the moment.

The site has undergone a redesign, not because I wanted to, more because the old one was wiped out and I figured it was a good time to do it. Still working on retrieving all of the old plugins that I used, but I have the essentials back.

In other news…
I went to Gator’s tonight with Seth and Crystal. Listened to some music, and had a few beers. Good times. I am going to have to start going there every Tuesday. Cheap beer, and damn good music.
