Things at work have been crazy the past few days to say the least.

About a week and a half ago, one of the members of our department decided to quit unexpectedly. This is a big deal as our department is run on the bare minimum of staffing as it is. We have 4 people that service around 400 or so people. So roughly 100+ people per member.

On friday, another member of our department was at least kind enough to give a two weeks notice. He has been on the market for a new job for sometime, but it just happened that he was hired for another job the in same time the other fellow quit.

Great, now we are down to 2 people to service 400 people. Great!

On Sunday, I learn that the first guy that quit, died. He had a lung fungus he apparently contracted from the hospital when he was there for strep throat and pneumonia. Well the pneumonia was wrong, it was lung fungus the whole time.

I don’t know. I should feel bad that he is dead. That he used to be my coworker. but I don’t. I don’t feel bad. I feel bad for not feeling bad. Am I even making sense?
Whatever.

So, the next few days, weeks, months? I don’t know, but if I treat any of you like shit all of the sudden, trust me, it isn’t really me. It is the fact that I have so much work to complete and only one other person helping me. I will have to train 2 new people. I will have to continue school. I will have to get no sleep for about a month and a half. I will have to invest in some more espresso. Yes.

Coffee anybody?
