Microsoft Launch Event

Turns out Microsoft is having a Windows Vista / Office 2007 launch event in Birmingham. I signed up for it today to attend some of the sessions they will be offering. I called the hotel today and found out they do have WiFi. With that information, I will be blogging and posting pictures of the event.

There are two seperate seminars I in which I am enrolled. The first is an IT/Pro seminar going through some of the more meticulous behind the scenes type stuff. Active directory, profiles, domain controllers, and user management.

The second of these is more for the home user, and distributors. Explaining the benefits of the new OS, and tips and techniques that can be implemented to make working with a computer better.

I would like to go on the record as saying, if you really want to make working on a computer better, buy a Mac. I would like to add to that by saying, I am a Microsoft Certified Professional. I think I am in the clear by the whole buy a Mac statement because I know just how archaic and befuddled Windows can be. I am going to keep an open mind during the seminars to see if Vista really is that much better than their previous piece of crap operating system.

Launch event is on the 23rd. See you then.
