Bill Gates on “The Daily Show”
Last night on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, had Bill Gates as guest to promote Windows Vista.
It wasn’t has funny as I thought it could be. I am sure many of you were upset with the absences of John Hodgeman, probably better known as the PC on the Get a Mac advertisements by Apple. All I wanted him to do was to walk out there with a puppy dog face, impromptu of course, and hug Bill Gates. I could have said something witty, like “Father, it has been so long!” But, the hug alone would have made that hilarious.
Bill Gates did leave the show abruptly, sort of in an akward manner, as if he didn’t know what he was doing on the set. He was unaware of what was happening almost. His conversation seemed muttled, and quite nerdy. Let’s face it. Bill Gates is the king of all nerds. This is to be expected of the guy who made billions from making buying and selling an operating system.
I would have loved to have seen more of a comic approach to the interview instead of Jon Stewart’s quirky inputs, but it was still enjoyable. The whole password question was pretty funny. Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet, I am sure it is on YouTube, you should check it out.
