I just upgraded to 2.7 today. I have been using the beta versions and release candidates on another site for a couple of months now, but since its official release yesterday, I have decided to make the plunge and upgrade my personal site.
If you use WordPress, 2.7 is a major update. It changes the back end and a lot of the core files, but I have found very few things that don’t work after the upgrade.
Give it a shot.
Just pictures of some hot horseshoe action today.

So, the wedding is over and we are on our way back home. Writing this quick entry from somewhere on the LA MS border. Interesting stuff to come.
Yeah, wow, let me tell you a thing or two about shreveport, at night, after 8 hours on the road. Bleah.

The server is slow right now, but everybody should be downloading firefox 3 and get them into the records books today.

I haven’t spent much time to update this thing. At first, I assumed I just didn’t have the time to update, but then I realized that most days I spend almost an hour browsing the web before I leave for work, and of course there is the casual browsing at work and school. So, in reality, I do have enough time to post, I just never remember to do it.
Some have asked me why I keep a blog. I find this to be an incredible question. I could just say to update people about what I am doing. Frankely, we all know I am not that interesting and nobody reads it for that. So, that isn’t the reason, what is? Well, I enjoy going back in time to see what I was interested in and what I was doing. It is a fantastic learning experience to see how far I have come and to see how much my tastes have changed. I recommend everybody keep a blog for the personal change aspect alone.
I have said all of that before to say this… I will be updating more often (If I can stay in the habit), but less about myself and more about what I find interesting so I can keep up with it.
I can’t help but think the United States has become more class hungry than I can ever remember, or even look back in history to prove wrong. When watching the news tonight about the food bank, it struck me the way they used the term middle class. At what point did being middle class mean being poor? Shouldn’t the middle class be where you would expect it to be? You know… in the middle?
This either tells me the middle class hasn’t changed in the amount of money it has relative to other classes and that it takes more money to get by, or that the definition of middle class needs to change. The later isn’t answer enough, I believe the former is only the tip of the iceburg. Whatever, more on this later I suppose, I am busy paying my bills I can’t afford.
Last night was my last final of the semester. It was also an evening with quick, violent weather. I don’t want to write a long post as I am typing this on my phone because the power is still out at the house. The cloverdale and rosemont areas were hit the hardest, but everything is good at the Tracy house. Ok, time to finish my coffee and head to work.
